Cardamom Pods ~ Elettaria cardamomum

Cardamom is a warming spice, contributing the sweet and pungent tastes. According to Ayurveda, cardamom is tridoshic - good for balancing all three types of constitution.  Cardamom is considered an excellent digestive, especially beneficial in reducing bloating and intestinal gas.

True Cinnamon Bark ~ Cinnamomum verum

In a world full of fakes and substitutes, we stand for authenticity. Our cinnamon is true and never replaced with the common substitute Cassia bark. True cinnamon is a warming soothing spice, often recommended for enhancing digestion and calming upset tummies. It also has been shown to assist in balancing blood sugar levels.

Cloves ~ Syzygium aromaticum

The clove is the dried unopened flower bud from an evergreen tree. The clove contributes warm, earthy and pungent notes. In Ayurveda, cloves are considered to enhance circulation, digestion and metabolism and help counter stomach disorders such as gas, bloating and nausea.

Fennel Seeds ~ Foeniculum vulgare

Sweet and aromatic, fennel is rich in volatile oil compounds believed to be responsible for its antispasmodic and calming properties. These compounds help to relax the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract and can assist in reducing stomach cramps and bloating. According to Ayurveda, fennel acts as a general toner for the digestive system.

Ginger Root ~ Zingiber officinale

Dried ginger is a warming spice, contributing heat and pungency. It is useful in aiding digestion, enhancing appetite, pacifying stomach disorders and maintaining joint health and respiratory system health.

Liquorice Root ~ Glycyrrhiza glabra

Licorice root is naturally sweet and uplifting, delightful and effective digestive remedy, soothing upset stomachs and relieving heartburn.

Nutmeg ~ Myristica fragrans

It is a warming spice, contributing an earthy and mildly pungent taste. In ayurveda, it is used as a natural sleep aid, normally taken in warm milk before bed. It stimulates appetite and digestion. 

Star Anise ~ Illicium verum

Star anise root is naturally sweet and uplifting, delightful and effective digestive remedy, soothing upset stomachs and relieving heartburn.

Turmeric ~ curcuma longa

Turmeric contains the flavonoid curcumin, which is known to have anti-inflammatory properties. This all-around wonder spice is said to help detoxify the liver, balance cholesterol levels, promote a healthy response to allergens, stimulate digestion, boost immunity and enhance the complexion. It is also an antioxidant. Ayurveda recognises it as a heating spice, contributing bitter, pungent and astringent tastes.

Coconut Sugar ~ Cocos nucifera

Also known as coco sugar, coconut palm sugar, or coconut blossom sugar; coconut sugar is produced from the sap of cut flower buds of the coconut palm. Coconut sugar has an earthy, caramel-like sweetness and relatively low glycaemic index.

Dark Chocolate & Cocoa ~ Theobroma cacao

Our 70% cacao dark chocolate is dairy, gluten and soy free. Having naturally high concentrations of raw cacao, being free of fillers and refined sugar gives our chocolate best possible concentrations of cholesterol lowering properties, cardiovascular and anti-oxidant benefits.
